There are a few changes this year, with First XVs in action on only two of the days over the weekend.

It’s Easter weekend and that means it’s time for schoolboy rugby action – and plenty of it.
The three traditional Easter long weekend festivals in Johannesburg will again take place with fixtures on Thursday, Saturday and Monday at St John’s, St Stithians and King Edward VII School.
In an interesting new twist, St John’s are hosting U-13 and U-16 matches as well, with Monday’s schedule dedicated to the U-13s and U-16s only. Matches on the three days will take place on the Burger field as C field.
The St Stithians Sportsfest also includes U13 and U16 boys and girls teams in action on Monday, with the opening day Thursday and Saturday reserved for the senior U19 boys.
A hockey festival is taking place at the same time, as well as matches in netball, tennis, squash and football.
King Edward VII School’s U-19 boys matches this year take place on Saturday and Monday only.
Thursday’s action is dedicated to U-13s and U15s as well as U-16 girls. The school will also host a hockey festival over the weekend, with matches on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Several other sporting festivals will take place across Gauteng and the country over the long weekend, including the Best of the West rugby festival at Krugersdorp High and the annual Kearsney College festival in KZN.
