Heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast for many parts of South Africa on Tuesday.
Weather warnings: Tuesday, 22 April
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) said disruptive rain is expected along the coast between Port Alfred and Coffee Bay in the Eastern Cape.
It said this could lead to dangerous conditions, including disruption of traffic, localised flooding and the cutting-off of communities.
A yellow level 2 warning was also issued for disruptive rain along the east coast and the interior of the Eastern Cape. SAWS said localised flooding could be seen over settlements, roads and bridges.
Another yellow level 2 warning was issued for severe thunderstorms in the eastern and southern parts of Northern Cape, as well as central and the western parts of Free State.
In addition, SAWS warned of strong coastal winds between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas. It said this will make navigation at sea difficult.
