Calmer weather is expected across the country, with the South African Weather Services (Saws) issuing no warnings for adverse conditions.

Parts of the Free State, Mpumalanga, Gauteng and North West were also not spared. The situation was exacerbated when Eskom implemented stage 2 load shedding on Thursday.

With moderate weather expected for Sunday, Saws only warned of extremely high fire danger conditions over the West Coast and the western parts of the Garden Route district of the Western Cape.

Morning fog patches in the Lowveld and along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm.
Saws said Limpopo will experience morning fog patches in the central parts, otherwise it will be partly cloudy and cool to warm.
The North West will be fine and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy.
Residents can anticipate fine and cool weather becoming partly cloudy.
Fine and warm to hot, but very hot over Richtersveld municipality. The wind along the coast will be light and variable, but moderate south-easterly in the afternoon.
Morning fog along the south coast, otherwise fine and warm to hot. Evening fog is expected along the west coast.
